Capiz is not only captivating because of being the "Sea Food Capital of the Philippines", for Sinadya sa Halaran, for the beautiful Olotayan Island, Capiz Products, being an Aswang (just kidding) and other things that makes it famous. With the captivating Capiz, it help the Province of Capiz to promote the wonders of the Capizeños.

Olotayan Island in Capiz

One of the interesting place in the captivating Capiz Province is the Olotayan Island. Olotayan Island is located at Roxas City, Capiz Philippines. I can say that it can be as one of the tourist spot not only in the Province of Capiz but also in the Philippines. It is not well known to all of the people outside in the captivating Capiz because Capiz is lack of tourist promotion. I wish I could have sometime to visit that place even I am staying here in Roxas City, Capiz, but stil I am not able to see the beauty of Olotayan Island. I have heard some humors about the Island, and they say it is very captivating and fascinating, a beautiful Island it is.

While I am searching for the pictures about the Olotayan Island, I found so many artistic and beautiful pictures taken by some photographers while they are in the Olotayan Island. I found this in the Capiz.i.ph of Bleuken. Here are some of the Pictures…

Aswang in Captivating Capiz

Aswang is the most feared creature around the Island of the Philippines. Most of the Filipino, whenever they heard the word "Aswang", you are from the Province of Capiz. Sometimes, if someone ask where you came from and you will say that you are from captivating Capiz Province, they will think that your are an "Aswang". I think there is an psychological effect to those people who are keep thinking that Aswang really exist. They will fear those people that they will eaten whenever they are alone in the dark or sometimes they are afraid to sleep whenever there is no one around. I am staying here in captivating Capiz for almost 11 years and I never seen any of those Aswang, even some people are telling there’s so many such like that creatures are existing here.

Some says that there are several places here in Capiz that they believe the home towns of these creatures. You can find them in some part of Panit-an, Iloilo and Antique. I always keep thinking that these creatures only exist with our imagination. I can still remember when I was still a child, my parents and my elders told me to get home early so that I can’t be eaten by Aswang. I realize when I grew older they only using the word "Aswang" to be afraid of such things and to obey what they are saying. With this captivating Capiz, I wish this will help to promote the Capiz not to have a negative impression like this Aswang Myth.
